Creatif

by Rolley Tickner

About

Creatif was created by Rolley Tickner, multimedia designer at CQUniversity Australia. His basic idea when creating this theme was to have a modern, confident, and elegant user interface - something that might “help make learning a little easier.” To achieve this, Rolley’s used a fair bit of subtle shading, along with a photographic background and negative space between the blocks and content. If interested, he’s written more on his blog.

Features
  • Makes use of Moodle 2’s new custom menu option.
  • Uses both base and canvas as parent themes
  • Uses Moodle 2’s new dock.
  • Selects one of several background images each time the page loads.

Im not sure if this is possible but I think it would be great if you could get the dock to appear on the right. All of the blocks in your theme are on the right hand side so it would seem logical, for me at least, for the dock to appear on the right.

Gday Dan, spot on man, I shall indeed do that next edit on the theme ; ) shouldn’t be hard at all :D

@Rolley - I’d be interested in Dan’s suggestion also as I have a couple themes that use the two-block-column-on-right “blog” format already in the core that would benefit from this change.

No worries, I’ll work on that through the week.

I’ve done the deed, and sent it to Patrick for uploading when he’s ready ; )

Along with a fair few other fixes, I did the quick fix to get the dock to go to the right hand side, which involved just changing some of the css - the assumption being that the dock panels will indeed be 200px wide (no more no less) at all times; otherwise the positioning will not line up.

I’ll have to change the icons too to match of course - will work on doing a complete icon overhaul for the next version of the theme.
